UTTAR PRADESH ADVOCATE GENERAL AND LAW OFFICERS ESTABLISHMENT SERVICE (FOURTH AMENDMENT) RULES, 2022

PREAMBLE

In exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution, the Governor is pleased to make the following rules with a view to amending the Uttar Pradesh Advocate General and Law Officers Establishment Service Rules, 2009.

Rule - 1. Short Title and Commencement.

(1)     These rules may be called the Uttar Pradesh Advocate General and Law Officers Establishment Service (Fourth Amendment) Rules, 2022.

(2)     They shall come into force at once.

Rule - 2. Insertion of new sub-rule.

In the Uttar Pradesh Advocate General and Law Officers Establishment Service Rules 2009, here in after referred to as the said rules after existing sub-rule of (l) of rule 3 the following sub-rule (m) and (n) shall be inserted namely :-

(m) 'Commission' means the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission;

(n)   'Subordinated Commission' means the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission.

Rule - 3. Amendment of Rule 5.

Source of recruitment-

In the said Rules, for existing rule 5 as set out in Column-1 below, the rule set out in Column-2 shall be substituted and in the said Rules, sub- rule (u) shall be added as follows:-

Rule - 4. Amendment of Rule 6.

Reservation-In the said Rules, for existing rule 6 as set out in Column-1 below, the rule as set out in Column-2 shall be substituted namely:

Reservation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes will be given according to the provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service (Reservation for Physically Handicapped, Dependents of Freedom Fighters and Ex-Servicemen) Act, 1993, amendments made from time to time in the above Acts and the Government Orders issued by the Government of Uttar Pradesh shall be applicable.

Reservation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes will be given as per the arrangements mentioned in the Reservation Act and reservation to the economically weaker sections candidates will be given under the provisions mentioned in the Uttar Pradesh Public Service (Reservation for Economically Weaker Sections) Act, 2020, however, reservation to disabled, dependents of freedom fighters and ex-servicemen shall be given according to the provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service (Reservation for Physically Handicapped, Dependents of Freedom Fighters and Ex-Servicemen) Act, 1993 and for commencement of posts of Public Services under the State Government, the provisions relating to reservation as contained in Government Order dated 26.02.1996 shall be applicable for female candidates. In the above reservation, amendments made from time to time in the above Acts and the Government Orders issued by the Government of Uttar Pradesh shall be applicable.

 

Rule - 5. Amendment of Rule 8.

Educational qualification-In the said rules, for existing rule 8 set out in Column-1 below, the rule as set out in Column-2 shall be substituted and in the said Rules, sub- rules (m), (n) and (o) shall be added as follows:-

Preference will be given to such candidates who, in addition to the above qualification, possess 80 words per minute in Hindi shorthand and 25 words per minute in Hindi typing.

(3) The candidate must have possess the following knowledge of computer:-(I) Certificate Course in computing (C.C.C.) from N.I.E.L.I.T (erstwhile D.O.E.A.C.C.) OR (II) Course conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh or any qualification recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto.

Rule - 7. Amendment of Rule 22.

Probation-In the said rule for existing sub rule (i) of rule-22 set out in Column-1 below, the sub rule set out in Column-2 shall be substituted, namely:-
