PREAMBLE
Framed under Clauses (c) and (d) of Sub Section (2) of Section 24 of the
'Act' and approved vide Board's item No. 16 dated 5.2.88.
Regulation 1. Short Title.--
These regulations may be called the Punjab School Education Board
(Matriculation Examination) Regulations, 1988.
Regulation 2. Commencement.--
These regulations shall govern the examination to be held in 1989 and
thereafter.
Regulation 3. Definitions.--
In these regulations, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or
context :-
(a)
'Application for admission'
means an application submitted by a candidate for Admission to the examination;
(b)
'Examination' means the
Matriculation Examination held by the Board under these regulations;
(c)
'Internal Assessment' means
the evaluation of a student on the basis of his performance in the terminal
tests held by the institution as well as his class work;
(d)
' Internal evaluation' means
the evaluation of a student by the school itself in Socially Useful Productive
Work and Health and Physical Education.
(e)
'Pass Formula' means the
standard fixed by the Board for a candidate being declared successful in each
subject of examination and in the examination as a whole;
(f)
'Private candidate' pieans a
candidate allowed to appear in the examination as a private candidate under
regulation 6;
(g)
'School candidate' means a
candidate admitted to the examination as a student of an affiliated
institution; and
(h)
All other terms and expressions used in these
regulations but not defined shall have the meaning respectively assigned
to them in the Punjab School Education Board Act, 1969.
Regulation 4. Time of Examination.--
(1)
The examination shall, be
held twice a year.
(2)
The annual examination shall
ordinarily be held every year in the month of March and the supplementary
examination in the month of August or September on the dates to be fixed by the
Chairman.
Regulation 5. Conditions for eligibility of school candidates.--
(1)
(a) No School candidate shall be
eligible to appear in the examination ??????unless he has completed 75 percent of the
total attendances in the X class.
(b) ???Attendances shall be counted from the date
of opening of the academic session to the 14th day preceding the date of
commencement of the examination.
(c) ???In the case of candidates who join the class
after having failed in the examination, the attendances shall be counted from
the 15th day after the declaration of the result.
(d) ??Deficiency
of not more than the 10 attendances may be condoned by the head of the
institution concerned and deficiency exceeding 10 attendances but not exceeding
25 attendances may be condoned by the Chairman on the recommendation of the
head of the institution concerned, if in the opinion of the condoning
authority there are sufficient grounds to do so.
(e) ???If a candidate's attendances up to the date
of submission of the application for admission, fall short of the required
percentage the head of the institution shall send his application for admission
provisionally.
(f) ???If a candidate falls short of the required
percentage of attendances counted up to the 14th day preceding the date of
commencement of the examination and in the opinion of the head of the
institution, there are no sufficient grounds for the condo nation of the
deficiency or if the deficiency exceeds 25 attendances, the head of the
institution shall report to the Board with a view to his admission being
disallowed;
Provided that the admission fee will be refunded only if the letter of
withdrawal from the head of the institution is received in the office of the
Board at least one week before the commencement of the examination irrespective
of the fact whether the application for admission and fee were submitted
provisionally or not.
(g) ???For
calculating the number of attendances, a candidate who is deputed by his institution for a contest or competition of any
type outside the institution shall be treated
to have been present during the period he is so deputed.
(2)
A candidate whose name is
struck off the rolls of an affiliated institution after the submission of his
application for admission shall cease to be eligible to appear in the
examination. If, however, he is readmitted at least fourteen days before the
commencement of the examination, he will again become eligible provided he
fulfils the other conditions required for the purpose. RAHUL
(3)
No School candidate shall be allowed to
migrate from one school to the other school after 31st December. However, the
Chairman may allow migration after 31 st December in exceptional cases such as
transfer/death of the parent's)/guardian.
(4)
[No candidate from other school Board
shall be allowed admission unless he fulfils the following conditions :-
(a)
After the expiry of admission schedule fixed
by the Chairman, candidate will submit his application to the Chairman for
permission with Rs. 100/- up to 31st December and Rs. 500/- after 31 st
December up to 45 days before the start of examination. He will also produce
the following documents with permission application :-
(i)
migration certificate from
the said Board;
(ii)
certificate of having passed
the lower examination;
(iii)
school leaving certificate duly countersigned
by the District Education Officer or an authority of the concerned School
Board. In case of mid-term migration, the total attendances shall be shown
in the said certificate;
(iv)
eligibility or equivalency
letter of the Punjab School Education Board.
(b)
A candidate who has been allowed by the
Chairman shall have to get admission within 15 days, otherwise his
permission shall be treated as cancel lied. His per- mission will be
revalidated only under special circumstances and he shall have to pay the permission
fee again.]
Regulation [3]5.
(A)
No Open School candidate
shall be eligible to appear in the Matriculation examination unless he has
completed 50% attendances in each subject, during the personal contact
programmed. Certificate to that effect shall be endorsed on the admission form
of the candidate by the Director, Open School or any other competent officer
deputed by him.
Regulation [4][5A.
(B)
Admission Schedule - The schedule of
admission dates shall be fixed by the Chairman every year. For late admission
late fee will be charged as under :-

Regulation 6. Condition for eligibility
of Private candidates (for annual examination).--
The following persons are eligible to appear in the
annual examination as private candidates:-
(i) ??A candidate who has passed the 8th class
examination from the Board or its equivalent examination from any other education
Board or from any institution recognized by any State Education
Department/Education Board, at least two academic years previously.
A candidate who has passed the 8th class examination from any institution
recognized by a State Education Department/Education Board shall submit a
certificate to this effect duly counter-signed by an officer not below the rank
of District Education Officer concerned.
(ii) ???candidates
who have failed in the Matriculation Examination of the Board or in any other
examination recognized by the Board as equivalent thereto.
Note.--Candidates who fail in the examination held by an authority other
than the Board, shall produce a certificate of having failed in the
examination, countersigned by the Secretary or an equivalent Officer of
respective Board or the Indian Council of School Certificate Examination or
Central Board of Secondary Education or other authority as the case may be.
(iii) ??candidates
placed under reappear in the Matriculation Examination conducted by the
Board.
(iv) ??candidates
who want to appear in one or more additional subjects after having passed
the Matriculation or any other equivalent examination.
Note.--No person shall appear in the examination as private candidate, if
his name was on the rolls of a recognized institution at any time after
thirtieth November immediately preceding the commencement of the examination.
[(v) Candidates belonging to the
following categories who attained the age of 21 years on or before October 31,
preceding the year of examination :-
(a)
Female candidates.
(b)
Employees of Center or State
Government or a Semi-Government body, Board or Corporation, having at least
three years regular service.]
[(vi) Blind, Deaf and Dumb candidates.]
Regulation 7. Eligibility for the Supplementary Examination.--
The supplementary examination shall be open only to the candidates
belonging to the following categories, namely :-
(i) ??Candidates placed under re-appear in the
examination,
(ii)?
[-]
(iii) Candidates offering additional
subject or subjects after passing the Matriculation or its equivalent
examination.
(iv) [-]
Regulation 8. Ineligibility of expelled or rusticated persons.--
(1)
A person who has been expelled or rusticated
from an affiliated institution shall not be eligible to appear in the
examination as a private candidate during the period of expulsion or
rustication as the case may be.
(2)
The head of the institution
concerned shall notify to the Secretary the name of the student who has been
expelled or rusticated to enable the Board to ensure that no such student
appears in the examination as privatecandidate or otherwise.
(3)
A private candidate shall
make a declaration to the effect that he is not debarred from appearing in the
examination on account of rustication or expulsion by any institution
recognized by the Board.
Regulation 9. Admission application.--
(1)
Candidates shall submit their applications to
the Secretary for admission to the examination on the form laid down by the
Board with the required certificates countersigned by the authorities as
mentioned below :-
(i)
School candidates :-
By the Head of the institution concerned.
(ii)
Private candidates residing
in Punjab :-
(a)
by the Headmistress, Headmaster, Principal of
a recognized High or Senior Secondary School in Punjab or any Officer of the
Punjab Education Department at the District, Circle or State level not below
the rank of a Deputy District Education Officer; or
(b)
by the Principal of an
affiliated college in Punjab; or
(c)
by a member of the Board; or
(d)
by an Officer of the Board
not below the rank of an Assistant Secretary.
(iii)
Private candidates residing
outside Punjab :-
(a)
by any authority mentioned
in clause (ii); or
(b)
by any officer of the
Education Department of the State concerned but not below the rank of a
District Education officer; or
(c)
by a Magistrate First class.
(iv)
Candidates residing in the
U.T. Chandigarh :-
(a)
by the Headmaster,
Headmistress or Principal of any locally recognized High or Senior Secondary
School; or
(b)
by any officer of the
Education Department of the Union Territory Chandigarh but not below the rank
of a District Education Officer.
(v)
Military Personnel :-
By the commanding officer of their regiment/company.
(2)
Private candidates shall
submit three copies of their latest passport size photograph attested by the
same authority which attested the certificates on the application for
admission.
Regulation 10. Fees.--

[(1) For private candidates (full subjects or reappear
subjects)

Note.--In addition to the admission fee as prescribed above, each candidate
shall pay Rs. 207- as practical examination fee.
(2) ??An additional fee or Rs. 100/- shall 1 be
paid by a Private candidate residing at a place outside the State of
Punjab.]
(3) ??Refund of examination fee will be allowed in
the following cases only :-
(i)
In the case of a candidate
whose application is rejected owing to his ineligibility;
(ii)
In the event of the death of
the candidate before the commencement of the examination;
Provided that the claimant shall produce a certificate from the authority
which attested the admission form of the deceased candidate that he is the
rightful claimant.
Regulation 11. Last date for submission of
application for admission and payment
of fee.--
(1)
The last day by which the application for
admission and admission fee for the examination should reach the Secretary
shall be as notified by the Chairman from time to time:
Provided that the Chairman may allow days of grace for the remittance of
admission fee and the application for admission as he may deem fit. .
(2)
The Chairman shall fix a separate schedule
for the receipt of applications for admission and admission fee from failed,
re-appear or result later categories of candidates.
(3)
The Chairman may, in very exceptional
circumstances, Condone the delay in the submission
of application for admission fee thereon in cases of an individual candidate or
of an institution.
Regulation 12. Rejection of incomplete application.--
The Chairman reserves the right to reject any
application for admission which is found to be incomplete for want of :-
(i)
full particulars;
(ii)
proper attestation;
(iii)
attested copies. of
photograph;
(iv)
correct combination of
subjects; or
(v)
on account of any
outstanding dues from the candidate.
Regulation [13]12.
(a)
If a candidate, whose result
is withheld by the Board for want of any dues or due to non-compliance of any
instructions, does not settle his fee account or settle the discrepancy in his
admission form within three months from the date of declaration of the result,
his candidature shall stand suspended:
Provided that such a candidate shall be given an opportunity to
settle the discrepancy or to remit the balance fee, if any, within a fixed
time:
Provided further that a candidate, whose candidature is suspended, shall
pay a fee of Rs. 100/- within an year from the date of declaration of result,
and Rs. 200/- per year, subsequently as candidature reinstatement fee.
Regulation 13. Allotment and change of examination center.--
(1)
Except as hereafter provided
each candidate shall appear at the centre of examination allotted to him.
(2)
Applications for the change
of centre will not be entertained unless these are supported by good reasons
and reach the Secretary not later than 30 days prior to the commencement of the
examination. Where the request for the change of centre is under extra-ordinary
circumstances such as transfer of a Government servant, request for change of
centre may be entertained up to 10 days prior to the commencement of the
examination. Provided that the Secretary may, in very rare emergent cases and
for reasons to be recorded in writing relax the period of 10 days to any
extent.
(3)
An application for change of
center must be accompanied by the fee as detailed below :-

Regulation 14. Medium of examination.--
(1)
The medium of examination shall be as laid
down in this regulation.
(2)
(a) In the language paper, the question paper
shall be set in the language concerned and in its recognized script.
(b) ???In other subjects the question papers shall
be set in Punjabi or Hindi or English.
(3)
(a) The candidates shall answer the language
paper in the language concerned and in its recognized script.
(b) ???In other subjects the candidates shall write
their answers as follows :-

Regulation 15. Subjects of examination.--
(1)
Every school and private candidate shall
take up the following subjects :-
(a)
Punjabi
(b)
Hindi
(c)
English
(d)
Mathematics
(e)
Science
(f)
Social Studies
Provided that a candidate who has passed
Vidwani or Bhusan or Adib Alam or equivalent or higher examination in Punjabi
or Hindi or Urdu from any University/Board shall be exempted, if he so desires,
from passing that language in the examination. For awarding marks in the
language concerned, the minimum pass marks shall be deemed to be the marks
obtained by such a candidate.
(2)
Socially Useful Productive
Work: Every School candidate shall also take up any one of the following
subjects :-
Beautification of Surroundings, Horticulture, Animal Husbandary (Poultry,
Dairy, Bee Keeping), Plumbing, Electrical Wirings, Maintenance and Repair of
Electrical Gadgets, Motor Windings, Transistor or Radio (Assembling/Maintenance
and Repair), Television (Maintenance and Repair), Welding (Electric and Gas),
Leather Work, Diesel Engine (Maintenance and Repair), Steel Furniture, Scooter
Motor-Cycle (Repair and Maintenance), Repair and Maintenance of Farm Machinery,
Preparation of Paints and Varnishes, Electroplating, Candle Making, Paper
Machine including Clay Modeling, Typewriting and Shorthand (English),
Typewriting and Shorthand (Punjabi), Salesmanship, Book Keeping and
Accountancy, State Keeping, Weaving Technology including Newer Making and the
things made of Plastic Cane, Textile Dyeing Bleaching and Printing including
Batik and Fiber Painting, Hosiery Technology, Carpet Weaving, Manufacturing of
Sports Goods (Wood), Manufacturing of Sports Goods (Leather), Knitting and
Embroidery (Hand and Machine), Garment Making (tailoring and dress designing),
Cooking and Food Preservation, Home Nursing, Furniture Making (Wood), Printing,
Composing and Book Binding, Photography, Commercial Art, Toys and Doll Making,
Making Educational Aids, Puppetry, Mushroom Growing, Denting and Painting,
Library Science, Painting, Mechanical Drawing, Home Science, Music (Vocal or
Instrumental), Dancing, Needle Work, Scouts, Girl Guiding, Computerization,
Carpenter, Sheet Metal, Black Smithy, Welding, Molding, Turner, Machinist,
Fitter and Pattern Maker.
(3)
Every school candidate shall
also take up the subject of Health and Physical Education.
(4)
Additional Language :-
A candidate may offer any one of the following as additional language :-
Sanskrit, Urdu. Persian, Arabic, Nepalese, Tibetan, French, German,
Portuguese, Russian, Bengali, Marathi, Gujrati, Telgu, Tamil, Malayalam, Uriya,
Assamese, Kannad.
No candidate shall be allowed to offer
additional language under this regulation, unless he indicates so in his
admission form, and remits to the office the fee for additional subject
prescribed under regulation 10 along with the usual admission fee.
Note -1. The Board shall not conduct any examination in the subject of
Socially Useful Productive Work and Health and Physical Education. For these
subjects there will be continuous internal evaluation only at the school level.
The schools will maintain cumulative record of each student which will be open
to inspection by the authorities of the Board and of the schools concerned. The
Board may also appoint supervisors, if necessary, in Socially Useful Productive
Work and Health and Physical Education. The result of internal evaluation shall
be communicated by the schools to the Board in terms of grades on a 7 points
scale as follows and will be reflected on the certificate :-

Note 2. - Candidates whose parents are transferable or mobile on an all
India basis whether in the private sector or public sector or as Government
employees will have the option to offer a regional language of their choice out
of the additional languages specified in sub-regulation (4) instead of Punjabi,
however, if a student of a Hindi speaking State opts for Hindi as regional
language instead of Punjabi, he shall also have to offer another language out
of the said additional languages:
Provided that it shall not be open to any other candidate whose parents are
normally resident of Punjab, to offer a regional language other than Punjabi.
The study of Punjabi for them shall be compulsory.
Note 3. - Foreign nationals may offer one language out of the list of the
additional languages mentioned in regulation 15(4) in lieu of Hindi, and
'Punjabi History and Culture' in place of Punjabi compulsory subject.
Note 4. - In the question paper in the subject of English an alternative
question shall be set in lieu of the question on translation into English for
the candidates who do not know Hindi. Punjabi or Urdu. In the case of
Translation from English into Hindi, Punjabi or. Urdu such candidates may
render the piece into simple English.
Note 5. - A permanently disabled candidate who cannot take a practical
examination on account of physical disability may be exempted by the Chairman
from appearing in the practical examination and Ihe marks obtained by him in
the theory' papers shall be increased proportionately. Such a candidate shall
have to produce a certificate of such disability from the Civil Surgeon of his
district.
Note 6. - A
blind candidate may offer any one or two subject/s out of the following in
place of Science or Mathematics or both :-
(i)
Any one of the additional
languages;
(ii)
Music (Vocal);
(iii)
Music (Instrumental);
(iv)
Music (Tabla);
Provided that a candidate offering Music (Vocal or Instrumental) in lieu of
Science or Mathematics shall not offer Music of the same kindas subject of
Socially Useful Productive' Work.
Note 6. - (A) A deaf and dumb candidate
may offer Drawing and Cutting & Tailoring in place of Science and
Mathematics.
Note 7. - Deaf candidates, who study any language by the technique of lip
reading may, instead of three languages offer only one language and the
subjects of Painting and Home Science:
Provided that a candidate offering Painting and. Home Science in lieu of
languages shall not offer Painting and Home Science as subject of Socially
Useful Productive Work;
Provided further that they shall produce :-
(i)
a certificate from the ENT
class-I Doctor, duly countersigned by the Civil Surgeon, or
(ii)
a certificate from the
Doctor of the ENT Department of a Medical College or Institution duly
countersigned by the Head of the Department or
(iii)
a certificate from the Head
of NET Department of a hospital attached to the Medical college or
Institution.
(5)
Provision for open School
students.--
An Open School student shall take up the following subjects :-
(i)
Punjabi, as compulsory
subject.
(ii)
Any five subjects out of the
following :-
1.
Hindi;
2.
English;
3.
Mathematics;
4.
Science;
5.
Health Education;
6.
Social Studies;
7.
Home Science;
8.
Agriculture;
9.
Drawing.
Regulation 16. Record of internal evaluation.--
(i)
The Secretary shall maintain
the record of internal evaluation of every school candidate who shall pay to
the Board an internal evaluation fee of Rs. 5/- through the Head of the
Institution. This fee will be realised by the school only in the 10th class
along with admission fee and the Head of the Institution concerned shall remit
the same to the Board along with admission fee showing the amount separately.
A penalty of Rs. 100/- as a whole or Rs.
5/- per candidate whichever is less, shall be imposed on the Head of School if
internal evaluation fee is not accompanied with admission fee of the concerned
candidates. A candidate who is re-admitted to the class after failure to appear
in or pass the examination, shall pay the internal evaluation fee of Rs. SI-
again.
(j)
The result of internal
evaluation in terms of grades specified in regulation 15 shall be sent by
the Head of the Institution to the Board by 15th February immediately preceding
the commencement of the examination.
(k)
The record of internal
evaluation in Socially Useful Productive Work and Health and Physical
Education shall be 1 ?pt intact by the school for inspection for three months
after the date of declaration of ultra.
(l)
In the case of a
provisionally affiliated school, the internal evaluation awards of its candidates
for the year of examination, shall be entertained only provisionally
pending the proof of extension of its affiliation for that year failing
which the awards will be cancelled and its
candidates will be treated as private candidates. However, the
internal evaluation fee will not be refunded.
Regulation 17. Syllabus.--
The syllabus and courses of study for the examination shall be such as may
be laid down by the Board from time to time.
Regulation 18. Pass formula.--
(1)
In order to be successful in
the examination a candidate must pass in the following subjects, namely :-
(i) ???Punjabi and any four subjects out of the
remaining five subjects examined externally.
(ii) The minimum number of marks
required to pass in a subject shall be 33%; provided that in Science or in any
other subject that has a practical paper, a candidate shall be required to
obtain at least. 30% marks in theory and practical separately, and 33% marks in
aggregate.
(iii) ??Marks obtained in additional language, if
offered, shall count towards passing the examination if marks secured in
it are higher than the marks secured in Hindi.
(iv) ?In
the case of a regular candidate whatever grading in respect of Socially
Useful Productive Work and Health and Physical Education is received from
the school, the same will be reflected in the result and the certificate.
(2)
[Grace marks up to 1 % of the aggregate
marks of the subject/s a candidate appears in. shall be given to him,
(i)
to pass the examination with
5 or 6 subjects as the case may be;
(ii)
to improve the division:
(iii)
to earn
compartment/re-appear;
(iv)
to pass
compartment/re-appear subject/s;
(v)
to pass additional
subject/s.
Provided that grace marks for improvement of division shall be given to a
candidate if he has not availed of the grace marks to pass the examination.]
(3)
Eligibility to Re-appear.
A School or a private candidate failing
in any two subjects shall be eligible to re-appear in the examination. He will
be declared to have passed the re-appear examination on clearing one of the two
subjects for which net more than two subsequent consecutive chances shall be
allowed. Provided that if Punjabi is one of these two subjects he must pass in
Punjabi in order to pass the examination. The candidate shall be declared to
have failed in the examination if he fails to pass the examination in next two
subsequent consecutive chances, after the declaration of his result and he
shall have to take the whole examination afresh;

Provided further that a candidate placed
under re-appear in a subject having practical paper, shall appear in theory
paper only of the subject concerned if he has passed jn practical examination
and the marks obtained by him in the practical shall be carried forward,
otherwise he shall appear in both theory as well as practical. However, a
candidate who wishes to take the practical examination along with the theory
paper shall indicate so in his application for admission.
[3(a) If a candidate, placed under
re-appear, does not avail the re-appear chance and opts for full subjects, his
previous result and the second chance of re-appear shall stand cancelled.]
(4)
Special Provision for Open
School candidates.--
(i)
A candidate from Open School shall be
given six consecutive chances, beginning from the annual examination of the
admission session, to pass the examination. Such a candidate shall be required
to pass at least one subject in the first attempt.
(ii)
The candidate shall be given
exemption in the subject/s cleared by him in each attempt.
(iii)
A candidate who does not
clear the examination within the six consecutive chances he shall be declared
fail and he shall have to take admission afresh.
(iv)
[A candidate from Open School shall be given grace marks
up to two to pass one subject and a maximum of 7 grace marks to pass the
examination.]
Regulation 19. Improvement of performance.--
(1)
A candidate who has passed
the examination, in the third or second division may reappear in a subsequent
examination to improve his division at three succeeding examinations, provided
he has not passed the next higher public examination;
Provided further that the result of such a candidate shall be declared only
if he has improved his division, otherwise it will be filed.
(2)
A candidate who has passed the examination in
the first division may also reappear in a subsequent examination to improve his
performance at three succeeding examinations, provided he has not passed the
next higher public examination;
Provided further that the result of such a candidate shall be declared only
if he has improved his performance by a minimum of 5% of the aggregate marks.
(3)
A candidate who appears under
sub-regulation (1) or (2), the marks obtained by him in the practical papers in
the earlier examination, shall be carried forward and he shall not be allowed
to take his practical examination afresh.
(To be affective from March 1990 exam).
3(A) No candidate appearing under
sub-regulation (1) or (2) shall be given more than two chances.
Regulation 20. Qualifying additional subjects.--
Any person who has passed the Matriculation or any equivalent examination
of any University. School Education Board or Indian Council of School
Certificate Examination or has passed General Certificate of Education
(ordinary level) of a foreign country in some subjects may appear in the
examination in one or more Subjects in which he has not already passed.
Regulation 21. Classification of Division.--
Successful candidates shall be classified into three divisions as follows

of the aggregate marks or more but less than 60%.

of the aggregate marks;

Provided that for the purpose of determining the division marks obtained by
a candidate in the subject in which he has failed shall be ignored.
A candidate who gets 80% or more of the aggregate marks shall be deemed to
have passed the examination in the first division with distinction.
Regulation 22. Publication of result.--
The Secretary shall publish the result of the examination as soon as
possible but not later than 10 weeks from the last day of the examination. In
case of exceptional circumstances, to be recorded in writing, prior permission
of the Chairman shall be necessary for extending the period fixed for the
declaration of the result. Each successful candidate shall be granted a
certificate showing the division in which he has been placed and detail of
marks obtained by him. Provided that the unsuccessful candidates will be
supplied with detailed marks sheet only.
Regulation 23. Supplemental powers of the Board.--
If there is anything which is not covered by the above regulations, the
Board may decide the same as it may deem fit.
Regulation 24. Delegation of powers.--
The Chairman may delegate any or all of his powers under these regulations
to any authority or officer of the Board as he may deem fit.
Regulation 25. Interpretation.--
If any question arises as to the interpretation of these regulations, the
decision of the Board shall be final.
Regulation [31]26. Repeal and Savings.--
The Punjab School Education Board (Matriculation Examination) Regulations,
1979 are hereby repealed;
Provided that any action taken or any order issued under the regulations so
repealed shall be deemed to have taken or issued under the corresponding
provisions of these regulations;
Provided further that any case pending at the commencement of these
regulations shall continue to be decided or disposed of under the regulations
which were in force immediately before such repeal.
