In exercise of the powers
conferred by Section 18 of the Central Provinces and Berar Drugs (Control) Act,
1949 (XLVII of 1949), the State Government are pleased to make the following
rules, namely (1)
These rules may be called the Madhya Pradesh Drugs (Control)
Rules, 1951. (2)
They extend to the whole of the State Madhya Pradesh. In these rules, unless there is
anything repugnant in the subject or context. (a)
"the Act" means the Central Provinces and Berar Drugs
(Control) Act, 1949 (XLVII of 1949); (b)
"Food and Civil Supplies Inspector" means an Inspector
appointed as such by the State Government; (c)
"Drugs Inspector" means an Inspector appointed by the
State Government under the Drugs Act, 1940 (XXIII of 1940); (1)
On demand by any of the officers mentioned in the Schedule below
every dealer or producer shall produce for inspection all books of account and
records [3]concerning
all transactions of sale and purchase and shall supply such information and
produce such other records as the officer may require for the purpose of
ascertaining whether the provisions of the Act and rules thereunder have been
observed. (2)
Every dealer or producer shall afford all reasonable facilities

PREAMBLE
