THE ANDHRA PRADESH (ANDHRA SCHEDULED AREAS) VALIDATION OF SUCCESSION CERTIFICATES REGULATION, 1951

PREAMBLE

A Regulation to validate the succession certificates granted by the courts of the Special Assistant Agents in the Scheduled Areas in the East Godavari, West Godavari, Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam districts.

Whereas it is expedient to validate the succession certificates granted by the Courts of the Special Assistant Agents in the scheduled areas in the East Godavari, West Godavari, Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam districts.

It is hereby enacted as follows.

Regulation - 1. Short title.

This Regulation may be called the Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Scheduled Areas) Validation of Succession Certificates Regulation, 1951.

Regulation - 2. Validation of Succesion Certificates granted by the Special Assistant Agents.

No succession certificates granted before the 15th day of August, 1950 by the Court of any Special Assistant Agent in the scheduled areas in the East Godavari, West Godavari, Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam districts shall be deemed to be invalid or ever to have been invalid on the ground that the said Court had not, at the time when such certificates was granted, been invested with power to exercise the functions of a District Judge under Part X of the Indian Succession Act, 1925. (Central Act 39 of 1925).

East Godavari, West Godavari, Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam Agencies except?

(1)     The Nugur taluk in the East Godavari district; and

(2)     The muttas, mokhasas and sub-muttas in the East Godavari district specified below.
