THE TELANGANA ASSIGNED LANDS (PROHIBITION OF TRANSFERS) (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2018

PREAMBLE

An Act further to amend the telangana assigned lands (prohibition of transfers) act, 1977.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Telangana in the Sixty-ninth Year of the Republic of India, as follows:-

 

Section 1 - Short title, extent and commencement

(1)     This Act may be called the Telangana Assigned Lands (Prohibition of Transfers) (Amendment) Act, 2018.

 

(2)     It extends to the whole of the State of Telangana.

 

(3)     It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from 05.03.2018.

 

Section 2 - Amendment of section 4

In the Telangana Assigned Lands (Prohibition of Transfers) Act, 1977 (Act No. 9 of 1977), in section 4, in sub-section (1), in clause (b), in sub-clause (i), for the expression, "on or before 29.01.2007", the expression "on or before 31.12.2017" shall be substituted.
