(SOCIAL SECURITY AND WELFARE) AMENDMENT ACT, 2014 THE TAMIL NADU
FISHERMEN AND LABOURERS ENGAGED IN FISHING AND OTHER ALLIED ACTIVITIES (SOCIAL
SECURITY AND WELFARE) AMENDMENT ACT, 2014[1] [Act No. 16 of 2014] [3rd September, 2014] An Act to amend the
Tamil Nadu Fishermen and Labourers engaged in Fishing and other Allied
Activities (Social Security and Welfare) Act, 2007. Be
it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the
Sixty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows: (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Fishermen and
Labourers engaged in Fishing and other Allied Activities (Social Security and
Welfare) Amendment Act, 2014. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the State
Government may, by Notification, appoint. In
Section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Fishermen and Labourers engaged in Fishing and
other Allied Activities (Social Security and Welfare) Act, 2007 (Tamil Nadu Act
19 of 2007), in sub-section (4), in clause (vi), for the expression
"Public Works and Forest Departments", the expression "Public
Works, Fisheries and Forest Departments " shall be substituted. [1] Received the assent of the Governor on September
