SUBORDINATE REVENUE SERVICES (CLASS-III) RECRUITMENT (EXAMINATION) (AMENDMENT) RULES, 2016

PREAMBLE

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Art. 309 of the Constitution of India the Governor of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Subordinate Revenue Service (Class-III) Recruitment (Examination) Rules, 2002, namely:

Rule - 1.

These rules may be called the Subordinate Revenue Services (Class-III) Recruitment (Examination) (Amendment) Rules, 2016.

Rule - 2.

In the Subordinate Revenue Services (Class-III) Recruitment (Examination) Rules, 2002 (hereinafter referred to as "the said rules") for Rule 3, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:

"3. Holding of the Examination.

(1)     The Board shall on receiving the requisition from the Government hold the examination for selection of candidates for recruitment to the post of Revenue Talati, Class-III, under the Subordinate Revenue Services;

The Examination shall comprise of two stages:

(a)      Written examination,

 

(b)      Computer proficiency examination.

 

(2)     The dale, time and places for holding the examinations shall be decided by the Board. The Board shall intimate the candidates about the date, place and time of the examinations.".

Rule - 3.

In the said rules, for Rule 5 the following shall be substituted, namely:

"5. Paper and Syllabus.

The syllabus of the written test and computer proficiency test shall be as specified in the Appendix.".

Rule - 4.

In the said rules for Rule 7, the following shall be substituted namely:

"7. Qualifying Standard and Marks.

The Board shall determine the qualifying standard for written test and computer proficiency test for all the candidates including those belonging to the reserved categories. However, minimum qualifying standard that may be determined by the Board shall not, in any case be less than 40 percent of marks in each test. The candidates, who qualify in the written test according to the qualifying standard determined by the Board shall, only be called for computer proficiency test.".

Rule - 5.

In the said rules, Rule 9 shall be deleted.

Rule - 6.

In the said rules for the Annexure the following shall be substituted, namely:
