RECRUITMENT RULES FOR THE POST OF DIRECTOR, CENTRAL INSTITUTE OF BUDDHIST STUDIES, CHOGLAMSAR, LEH, LADAKH, JAMMU AND KASHMIR

PREAMBLE

The Central Government hereby frames the Recruitment Rules, for the post of Director, Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (CIBS), Choglamsar, Leh, Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, an autonomous body registered under the J&K Society's Registration Act, 1998 (1941 AD), as given in the Schedule.


Rule 1 - Rule 1

(1) These Rules shall be called "Recruitment Rules for the post of Director, Central Institute of Buddhist Studies, Choglamsar, Leh, Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir"

(2) These Rules shall come into force with immediate effect.


Rule 2 - Rule 2

It is ordered that the Resolution be published in the Gazette of India for general information.

It is also ordered that a copy of the Resolution be communicated to all the Ministries and Department of the Government of India and to all the State Governments and Union Territories.

Deputation/Short Term Contract

Deputation Professionals/Faculty/Officers of the Central Government/Autonomous bodies/Universities/Institutions :

(I) Holding analogous post on regular basis,

or

With 5 years of regular service in post in the Grade Pay of Rs. 8,700/-.

or

With 8 years of regular service in the post in the Grade Pay of Rs. 7,600/-.

(II) Qualifications:

Essential Qualification:

(i) Doctorate Degree in Buddhist Studies/Buddhist Philosophy from a recognized university or equivalent traditional monastic degree.

(ii) Evidence of outstanding research and published works in national/inter-national journals of repute or as well acknowledged books in the concerned area of specialization.

(iii) 10 (ten) years teaching experience at the post graduate level at a recognized University/Institution in the area of specialization.

(iv) At least 3 (three) years administrative experience in a responsible senior position at a recognized University/Institution.

Desirable Qualification :

Knowledge and fluency in written and spoken Hindi and English languages.

(III) Upper age limit for applying : Not exceeding 55 years on the closing date of receipt of application.

Short Term Contract

Qualification : As prescribed for deputation

Upper age limit for applying : Not exceeding 57 years.

Note I :--The term of appointment on deputation shall be for a period of 3 years. The term may be extended for a period not exceeding 2 years or the date of retirement of such an incumbent in his parent cadre whichever is earlier subject to satisfactory performance to be reviewed by the Board of Management & with the approval of ACC.

Note II :--Appointment on Short Term Contract shall be for a period of 3 years and may be extended for a period not exceeding 2 years subject to satisfactory performance to be reviewed by the Board of Management and with the approval of ACC and maximum age limit of 62 years.

Note III :--In case of appointment on Short Term Contract basis, the terms and conditions of the incumbent of the post shall be as applicable to Group 'A' officer of the Central Government holding analogous post.

The Director shall be selected by a Search-cum-Selection Committee. It shall consists of :--

(i) One nominee of the Chairman of the Board of Management--Chairman

(ii) & (iii) Two nominee of the Board of Management--Member

(iv) One nominee of the Ministry of Culture--Member Convenor
