RAJASTHAN VARIOUS SERVICE (AMENDMENT) RULES, 2021

PREAMBLE

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Rajasthan hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Various Service Rules as mentioned in the Schedule appended hereto, namely:-

Rule - 1. Short title and commencement.

(1) These rules may be called the Rajasthan Various Service (Amendment) Rules, 2021.

(2) They shall come into force with immediate effect.

Rule - 2. Amendment.

The existing first proviso to rule as mentioned in column number 3 against each of the Service Rules as mentioned in column number 2 of the Schedule given below, shall be substituted by the following, namely:-

"the upper age limit mentioned above shall be relaxed by,-

(a) 5 years in the case of male candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, More Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections;

(b) 5 years in the case of woman candidates belonging to General Category; and

(c) 10 years in the case of woman candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Schedules Tribes, Backward Classes, More Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections."
