MINISTRY OF CULTURE, ARCHEOLOGICAL SURVEY OF INDIA, JOINT DIRECTOR GENERAL (ARCHAEOLOGY) RECRUITMENT (AMENDMENT) RULES, 2018

PREAMBLE

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules to further amend the Ministry of Culture, Archaeological Survey of India, Joint Director General (Archaeology) Recruitment Rules, 2015, namely :-

Rule 1 - RULE 1

(1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Culture, Archeological Survey of India, Joint Director General (Archaeology) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2018.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

Rule 2 - RULE 2

In the Ministry of Culture, Archaeological Survey of India, Joint Director General (Archaeology) Recruitment Rules, 2015, -

(a) In rule 2, for the words "pay band and grade pay or pay scale", wherever they occur, the words "Level in the Pay Matrix" shall be substituted;

(b) in the Schedule, -

(i) in column (4), for the heading, the following heading shall be substituted, namely:-

"Level in the Pay Matrix";

(ii) for the existing entry under column (4), the following entry shall be substituted, namely:-

"Level-13 (Rs. 123100-215900)";

(iii) under Column (10), for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:-

"50% by promotion failing which by deputation (including short term contract and 50% by deputation (including short term contract)";

(iv) in column (11),-

(A) under the heading "Promotion", for the entry "PB-3, Pay Scale Rs. 15600-39100 plus Grade Pay Rs. 7600", the entry "Level 12 (Rs. 78800-209200)" shall be substituted.

(B) under the heading "Deputation (including Short term contract)", for the existing entry "Pay Band 3 Rs. 15,600-39,100 plus Grade Pay Rs. 7600", the entry "Level 12 (Rs. 78800-209200)" shall be substituted.
