Maharashtra Right Of Children To Free And Compulsory Education (Manner Of Admission Of Minimum 25% Children In Class-I Or Pre-School At The Entry Level For The Children Belonging To Disadvantaged Group And Weaker Section) Amendment Rules, 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 38 of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (35 of 2009) and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf, the Government of Maharashtra hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Maharashtra Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (Manner of admission of Minimum 25% children in Class-I or Pre-school at the entry level for the children belonging to disadvantaged group and weaker section) Rules, 2013 as follows, namely:-

Rule - 1.

These rules may be called the Maharashtra Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (Manner of admission of Minimum 25% children in Class-I or Pre-school at the entry level for the children belonging to disadvantaged group and weaker section) Amendment Rules, 2024.

Rule - 2.

In Rule 2 of the Maharashtra Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (Manner of admission of Minimum 25% children in Class-I or Pre-school at the entry level for the children belonging to disadvantaged group and weaker section) Rules, 2013, in clause (b), for sub-clause (xi), the following sub-clause shall be substituted namely

"(xi) Socially and Educationally Backward classes."
