August 2023] In exercise of the powers
conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 321 read with sub-section (3)
of section 75 and sub-section (2) of section 75A of the Maharashtra Municipal
Councils, Nagar Panchayats and Industrial Townships Act, 1965 (Mah. XL of 1965)
and of all other powers enabling it in this behalf, the Government of
Maharashtra hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Maharashtra
Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats and Industrial Townships State Sanitary
Inspector Service (Absorption, Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules,
2019, the same having been previously published, as required by sub-section (3)
of said Section 321, namely :-Maharashtra

Inspector Service (Absorption, Recruitment And Conditions Of Service)
(Amendment) Rules, 2023
These rules may be called the Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats
and Industrial Townships State Sanitary Inspector Service (Absorption,
Recruitment and Conditions of Service) (Amendment) Rules, 2023.
In rule 2 of Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats and Industrial
Townships State Sanitary Inspector Service (Absorption, Recruitment and
Conditions of Service) Rules, 2019 (hereinafter referred to as the
"principal rules"), in clause (j), for the words "immediately
before the appointed day" the words, brackets and figures "immediately
before the commencement of the Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats
and Industrial Townships State Sanitary Inspector Service (Absorption,
Recruitment and Conditions of Service) (Amendment) Rules, 2023" shall be
substituted.
In rule 4 of the principal rules, in sub-rule (3), in clause (a), for the words
"immediately before the appointed day" the words, brackets and
figures "immediately before the commencement of the Maharashtra Municipal
Councils, Nagar Panchayats and Industrial Townships State Sanitary Inspector
Service (Absorption, Recruitment and Conditions of Service) (Amendment) Rules,
2023" shall be substituted.
