KERALA EXCISE AND PROHIBITION SERVICE AND KERALA EXCISE AND PROHIBITION SUBORDINATE SERVICE (UNIFORM) AMENDMENT RULES, 2017

 

PREAMBLE

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Kerala Public Services Act, 1968 (19 of 1968), the Government of Kerala hereby make the following rules further to amend the Kerala Excise and Prohibition Service and Kerala Excise and Prohibition Subordinate Service (Uniform) Rules issued under G.O. (P) No. 151/77/TD dated 2nd December, 1977, and published as S.R.O. No. 1203/77 in Part I of the Kerala Gazette No. 51 dated the 20th December, 1977, namely:--

Rule - 1. Short title and commencement.

(1)     These rules may be called the Kerala Excise and Prohibition Service and Kerala Excise and Prohibition Subordinate Service (Uniform) Amendment Rules, 2017.

(2)     They shall come into force at once.

Rule - 2. Amendment of the Rules.

In the Kerala Excise and Prohibition Service and Kerala Excise and Prohibition Subordinate Service (Uniform) Rules, in SCHEDULE II, under the heading. "KERALA EXCISE AND PROHIBITION SUBORDINATE SERVICE", in item 4 Drivers, the following note shall be added, namely:--

Note:--"Drivers who have completed 8 years of service shall wear three "V" shaped chevron in transparent colour stitched in the left sleeve of the uniform shirt".
