INDIAN REVENUE SERVICE (AMENDMENT) RULES, 2017
PREAMBLE
In exercise of the powers conferred by the provisio to article 309 of the Constitution, the President, hereby, makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Revenue Service Rules, 2015, namely:-
Rule 1 - RULE 1
(1) These rules may be called the Indian Revenue Service (Amendment) Rules, 2017.
(2) They shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of January, 2016.
Rule 2 - RULE 2
In the Indian Revenue Service Rules, 2015 (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Rules), in Schedule-I,-
(i) in column 4, -
(a) for the heading, the following heading shall be substituted, namely:
"Level in the pay matrix or pay scale;"
(b) against serial numbers 1 to 9, in column (4), for the entries, the following entries shall respectively be substituted, namely:-

Rule 3 - RULE 3 In the principal rules, in Schedule-III, - (i) in column 2, for the heading, the following heading shall be substituted, namely:- "Level in the pay matrix or pay scale;" (ii) in column (2), - (a) in serial number 1, for the letters, figures and word "Rs. 80,000(fixed)", the letters, figures and word "Level 17 in the pay matrix Rs. 225000", shall be substituted; (b) in serial number 2, for the letters and figures "Rs. 75500-80000" the letters and figures "Level 16 in the pay matrix Rs. 205400-224400", shall be substituted; (c) in serial number 3, for the letters and figures "Rs. 67000-79000" the letters and figures "Level 15 in the pay matrix Rs. 182200-224100", shall be substituted; (d) in serial number 4, for the letters, figures and words, "(PB-4, Grade pay of Rs. 10,000)" the letters, figures and words "Level 14 in the pay matrix Rs. 144200- 218200", shall be substituted; (e) in serial number 5, for the letters, figures and words, "(PB-4, Grade pay of Rs. 8,700)" the letters, figures and words, "Level 13 in the pay matrix Rs. 118500-214100", shall be substituted; (f) in serial number 6, for the letters, figures and words, "(PB-3, Grade pay of Rs. 7,600)" the letters, figures and words, "Level 12 in the pay matrix Rs. 78800-209200", shall be substituted; (g) in serial number 7, for the letters, figures and words, "(PB-3, Grade pay of Rs. 6,600)" the letters, figures and words, "Level 11 in the pay matrix Rs. 67700-208700", shall be substituted; (h) in serial number 8, for the letters, figures and words, "(PB-3, Grade pay of Rs. 5,400)" the letters, figures and words, "Level 10 in the pay matrix Rs. 56100-177500", shall be substituted |
