FORESTER OF FOREST DEPARTMENT, GOVERNMENT OF TRIPURA
RECRUITMENT RULES, 2021
PREAMBLE
In exercise of the powers conferred by the
provision of Article-309 of the Constitution and in supersession of the
existing recruitment rules for the post mentioned herein, the Governor of
Tripura hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment
to the Post/ Grade of Forester in the Forest Department, Government of Tripura:
Rule - 1. Short title and commencement.
(1) These rules may be called "Forester of Forest Department,
Government of Tripura Recruitment Rules, 2021".
(2) They shall come into force on and from the date of their publication in
the official Gazette.
Rule - 2.
The name of the posts shall be as specified in
Column-1 of the Schedule enclosed.
Rule - 3. Number, Classification and scale of pay.
The number of the said post, its classification and
the scale of pay attached thereto shall be as specified in Rows 2 to 4 of the
Schedule enclosed at Annexure-1.
Rule - 4. Method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications, etc.
The method of recruitment to the said post, age
limit, qualification and other matters relating to the said post shall be as
specified in Rows 5 to 13 of the said Schedule.
Rule - 5. Disqualification.
No person,
(a) Who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having
spouse living; or
(b) Who, having a spouse living has entered into or contracted a marriage
with any- other person shall not be eligible for appointment to the said post.
Provided that the State Government may, if
satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the Personal law applicable
to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other
grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this rule.
Rule - 6. Power to relax.
Where the State Government is of the opinion that
it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order, for reasons to be
recorded in the writings and in Consultation with the Tripura Public Service
Commission, may relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any
class or category of persons.
Rule - 7. Repeal and saving.
(i) The Rules namely Forester under the Forest Department issued vide
Notification No. F.2026VFor/Estt-95/3986-4iS6 dated 06.02.2014 are hereby
repealed. Provided further that any appointment made or order issued action
take or anything what so ever; done under the rules so repealed shall he deemed
to have made issued taken or done under the corresponding provisions of these
rules.
(ii) Nothing in these rules shall effect reservations, relaxation of age
limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes,
Scheduled Tribes, Ex-serviceman and other special categories of persons in
accordance with the others issued by the State Government from time to time in
this regard.
Rule - 8. Interpretations.
If any question arises relating to the
interpretation of these rules, it shall be referred to Forest Department,
Government of Tripura, whose decision thereon shall be final.

through 85% written examination and for interview 15% of total marks. Only
those obtaining cut off marks in written test shall be called for interview
and further recruitment process, The cut off marks may be different for
different categories. (iv) Syllabus for written
examination is annexed as Annexure-A. |

(a) Educational
Qualification : Higher Secondary(+2)
stage passed or equivalent standard. (b) Physical Standards: Should possess good
physique and sound health and should be fit for forestry field works. Since
it is a forestry field post, persons with disabilities will not be eligible.

(Qualifying in nature): Distance to be covered on
foot in four hours. (i) Male-25 km (ii) Female-16 km |

(d) Medical fitness.- in case of Direct
Recruitment the candidate qualifying in written and interview shall have to
undergo Medical examination to be conducted by Health Department, Government
of Tripura. A certificate that the candidate is fit for undertaking strenuous
outdoor/ field activity of the Forest Department may be necessary. (e) Desirable

:- Promotion:- (i) The Substantive Head
Forest Guard of Tripura Forest Department who has put in at least 02(two)
years of service in the grade or cumulative 07(seven) years of service in the
grades of Head Forest Guard and Forest Guard counted together as on 1st January
of the year in which DPC in constituted and has passed final examination in
the Forest Training Institute of the State shall be eligible for promotion to
the post of Forester under promotion quota. |

(ii) The Substantive
Forest Guard of Tripura Forest Department who has put in at least 07(seven)
years of service in the grade as on 1st January of the year in which DPC is
constituted and has passed final examination in the Forest Training Institute
of the State shall be eligible for promotion to the post of Forester under
promotion quota, |

;- Persons recruited on

15. Repeal |
:- The existing
Recruitment Rules for the post of Forester vide No. F.2
(l26)/For/Estt-95/3986-41 86 dated 06-02-2014 shall stand repealed. |
