February 2025] In exercise of the powers
conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India, the
Governor of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules further to amend the
Executive Engineer (Civil), Class I, in the Gujarat Engineering Service, under
Roads and Buildings Department Recruitment Rules, 2016, namely:- (1)
These rules may be called the Executive
Engineer (Civil), Class I, in the Gujarat Engineering Service, under Roads and
Buildings Department, Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2025. (2)
They shall come into force from the date of
their publication in the Official Gazette. In the Executive Engineer
(Civil), Class I, in the Gujarat Engineering Service, under Roads and Buildings
Department, Recruitment Rules, 2016, for rule 5, the following rule shall be
substituted, namely:- "5.
The probationary period of the candidate appointed by direct selection based on
the result of the competitive examination shall be two years. Such a candidate
shall be required to undergo training at the Staff Training College,
Gandhinagar for the first year of the probationary period. After completing the
first year of probation, the candidate shall be assigned independent charge of
Deputy Executive Engineer in the sub-division for the period of three years.
The selected candidate shall be designated as Assistant Executive Engineer during
such appointment in the Sub-Division. After completing four years of such
service, He shall be appointed as Executive Engineer.".Executive Engineer (Civil), Class I, In The Gujarat Engineering Service,
