PREAMBLE
In exercise of the
powers conferred by section 12 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950
(43 of 1950), the President, after consulting the Election Commission of India,
is pleased to make the following Order further to amend the Delimitation of
Council Constituencies (Uttar Pradesh) Order, 1951, namely:
Order - 1.
This Order may be called the Delimitation of
Council Constituencies (Uttar Pradesh) Amendment Order, 2014.
Order - 2.
In the Delimitation of Council Constituencies
(Uttar Pradesh) Order 1951 (hereinafter referred to as the said order), in
paragraph 2, in the Table,
(a) under the heading
"Graduates' Constituencies", for the entries under column 1 and
column 2, the following entries shall respectively be substituted, namely:

Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Badaun, Rampur,
Moradabad, Amroha, Bijnor and Sambhal districts.

(i) at serial number 1, for the
entries in column 2 "Moradabad, Jyotibaphule Nagar and Bijnor
districts", the entries "Moradabad, Amroha, Bijnor and Sambhal
districts" shall be substituted;
(ii) at serial number 11, for entry in
column 2 "Sultanpur district", the entries "Sultanpur and Amethi
districts" shall be substituted;
(iii) at serial number 31, for the
entries in column 2 "Mathura, Etah and Mainpuri districts", the
entries "Mathura, Etah, Mainpuri and Kasganj districts" shall be
substituted;
(iv) at serial number 34, for the
entries in column 2 "Meerut, Bagpat and Ghaziabad districts", the
entries "Meerut, Bagpat, Ghaziabad and Hapur districts" shall be
substituted.
(v) at serial number 35, for the
entries in column 2 "Muzaffarnagar and Saharanpur districts", the
entries "Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur and Shamli districts" shall be
substituted.
Order - 3.
In the said order, in paragraph 3, for the figures,
letters and words "1st day of June, 2006", the figures, letters and
words "1st day of January, 2014" shall be substituted.
