Delhi Jal Board Senior Assistant The
Recruitment And Promotion Regulations, 2023

In
exercise of the Powers conferred under clause (m) sub-section (2) of section
109 read with section 7 and 51 of the Delhi Water Board Act, 1998 (Delhi Act.
No. 4 of 1998) and in supersession of the Delhi Notification No. F
9/19/81-LSG-3513 dated 05th May 1981 except as respects things done or omitted
to be done before such supersession, the Delhi Water Board makes the
Regulations for recruitment and promotion to the post of Senior Assistant in
Delhi Water Board, are hereby published, namely:-
Regulation - 1. Short title and commencement
(I)
These
regulations may be called the Delhi Jal Board Senior Assistant the Recruitment
and Promotion Regulations, 2023.
(II)
They
shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Delhi Gazette.
Regulation - 2. Number of posts, classification and Level in the Pay Matrix
The number of posts, classification and Level in the Pay Matrix attached
thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to
these regulations.
Regulation - 3. Method of recruitment, age limit and other qualifications
The method of recruitment to the said posts, age limit, qualifications and
other matters connected therewith shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13)
of the said Schedule.
Regulation - 4. Disqualification
No person;
(a)
who
has entered into or contracted a marriage with person having a spouse living;
or
(b)
who
having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted marriage with any
person; Shall be eligible for appointment to any of the said posts:
Provided
that Delhi Water Board, may, if satisfied that such a marriage is permissible
under the personal law applicable to such persons and the other party to the
marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from
the operation of this regulation.
Regulation - 5. Power to Relax
Where the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi is of the opinion
that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order and for reasons to
be recorded in writing, and in consultation with Union Public Service
Commission, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any
class or category of persons.
Regulation - 6. Saving
Nothing in these regulations shall affect reservations and other concessions
required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and other
special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the
Government of India from time to time in this regard.

RENDERED AFTER APPOINTMENT THERETO ON REGULAR BASIS AND HAVE UNDERGONE FOR
ONE WEEK TRAINING IN THE RELATED FIELD FROM DELHI JAL BOARD TRAINING
INSTITUTE. B. 25% BY
SELECTION ON THE BASIS OF LIMITED COMPETETIVE EXAMINATION FROM AMONGST JUNIOR
ASSISTANTS (LDCs) WORKING IN LEVEL 2 (19900-63200/-) IN THE PAY MATRIX WITH 5
YEARS REGULAR SERVICE IN THE GRADE. NOTE:
WHERE JUNIORS WHO HAVE COMPLETED THEIR QUALIFYING / ELEGIBILTY SERVICE ARE
BEING CONSIDERED FOR PROMOTION, THEIR SENIORS WOULD ALSO BE CONSIDERED
PROVIDED THEY ARE NOT SHORT OF THE REQUISITE QUALIFYING/ ELEGIBILTY SERVICE
BY MORE THAN HALF OF SUCH QUALIFYING/ ELEGIBILTY SERVICE OR TWO YEARS,
WHICHEVER IS LESS, AND HAVE SUCESSFULLY COMPLETED PROBATION PERIOD FOR
PROMOTION TO THE NEXT HIGHER GRADE ALONG WITH THEIR JUNIORS WHO HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED
SUCH QUALIFYING / ELEGIBILTY SERVICE.
