Bihar Chowkidar Cadre (Amendment) Rules, 2016

No. 1/Chou-90-02/2013,H.P.-8687?In exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Bihar is pleased to make the following Rules to amend the Bihar Chowkidar Cadre Rules, 2006 (As amended from time to time) :-

 

 

Rule ? 1. Short title, extent and commencement.?

 

(i)       These rules may be called Bihar Chowkidar Cadre (Amendment) Rules, 2016.

 

 

(ii)      It shall extend to the whole of the State of Bihar.

 

(iii)     It shall come into force with immediate effect.

 

Rule ? 2. In Rule 2 (6) of the said Rules, 2006 the following symbol and words shall be inserted after ?Chowkidar / Dafadar ?

 

"Senior Dafadar"

Rule ? 3. Rule-3 of the said Rules, 2006, shall be substituted by following:-

 

?3- Constitution of Cadre-(1) Bihar Chowkidar? Cadre will comprise of? following posts :-

(i)       Chowkidar ? It shall be post of basic category of this cadre. The post of Chowkidar shall be of Group-?D?.

 

 

(ii)      Dafadar ? It shall be promotional cadre post which will be filled up by promotion from the employee working on the post of Chowkidar. The post Dafadar shall be of Group-"C"

 

 

(iii)     Senior Dafadar - It shall be second hierarchical post of the cadre promotion. This post shall be filled up by promotion of the employees working on the posts of Dafadar.

 

 

(iv)    The number of sanctioned strength of different posts of this cadre shall be as follow, which may be altered from time to time by Home Department:-

 

(A)      Chowkidar ? Number of sanctioned post- 26000

 

(B)      Dafadar ? Number of sanctioned post -1900

 

 

(C)      Senior Dafadar? ?Number of sanctioned post ? 1000

 

 

(v)      Legally appointed and working all the Chowkidars and Dafadars shall be This cadre shall be District level Cadre and concerned District Magistrate shall be the Appointing officer and Cadre Controlling Officer.

Rule ? 4. Rule-9 of the said rules, 2006 shall be substituted by following :-

 

?9- Pay scale- Chowkidar -??

 

(i)       For 10th? Exam? passed or equivalent ?

 

 

Pay Band 5200-20200+Grade Pay 1800/-

 

(ii)      For Non matric or equivalent

 

Pay Band 5200-20200+Grade Pay 1650/-

 

Dafadar -????? Pay Band 5200-20200+Grade Pay 1900/-

 

Senior Dafadar -?????? Pay Band 5200-20200+Grade Pay 2000/-

Rule - 5. Ammendment to Rule-10 of the said Rules-2006 .-

 

 

? In Rule-10, after the words" on the post of Dafadar,? the words from the post of Dafadar to the post of Senior Dafadar? shall be inserted.

Rule - 6. Ammendment to the Rule-11 (B) of the said rules 2006.

 

 

?In Rule-11 (B), after the words "Fourth grade employees" The words"and third grade employees? shall be inserted.
