1. The primary prayer made in this application is for a declaration that the Central Government is exclusively empowered to formulate and implement policy with regard to all the matters pertaining to Natural Gas, including transmission and supply of Natural Gas, City Gas Distribution, etc.

2. Learned Solicitor General says that in view of the decision of this Court in Presidential Reference in Special Reference No.1 of 2001 reported in (2004) 4 SCC 489 as well as the provisions of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board Act, 2006, no further orders are required to be passed in this application and the application is accordingly disposed of in terms of the decision of this Court as well as the Act.
