(Prayer:Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to open the sealed covers in the presence of all bidden and confirm the quotation in their presence and pass further orders as this Court may deem fit and proper.)
1. This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking to open the sealed tender covers in the presence of the renderers.
2. Mr.S.Manohar, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents contend that it is not at all a tender and it is only a quotation for the interregnum period before the tenders are called for. Of course, there are four persons participated including the petitioner. It is opened and final result of tender was announced. The petitioner is a last person and the highest bid amount is Rs.84,510/-. Therefore, the quotation has already been granted in favour of the highest bidder, namely, A.Raja.
4. The records have been produced by the respondents and the same has been perused. In view of the same, nothing survives in this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. If the petitioner is aggrieved against the grant of order, it is open to the petitioner to challenge the same in the manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous petition is closed.
