1. This case has been brought up for directions on a mentioning made by Dr Ashok Dhamija, counsel appearing for the Union of India.

2. Dr Dhamija submits that in the order dated 4-1-2013, Extra-judicial Execution victim Families Assn. v. Union of India, (2013) 2 SCC (Cri) 799 [LQ/SC/2013/10] there are no directions regarding fees payable to the three Members of the Commission and as to who would make the payment of their fees.

3. We leave it completely in the hands of the Chairman of the Commission, Justice (Retd.) N. Santosh Hegde, to fix not only his own remuneration/honorarium but also those payable to the other two members of the Commission.

4. The amounts of remuneration/honorarium, as may be fixed by Justice (Retd.) Hegde, will be paid to the Chairman and the members of the Commission by the Central Government.

5. The expenses for their travelling from Bengaluru to Delhi and from Delhi to Imphal will also be borne by the Central Government.

6. The arrangements for their stay in Delhi will be made by the Central Government and all expenses in that regard will also be met by the Central Government. The arrangements for their stay at Imphal or at any other place in Manipur will be made by the State of Manipur and all expenses in that regard will be met by the State of Manipur.

7. Ms Menaka Guruswamy, Amicus Curiae, may also attend the proceedings of the Commission both at Delhi and at Imphal.

8. The Central Government shall pay for her travelling expenses and the State of Manipur shall make arrangements for her stay at Imphal.
