1. Challenge in this appeal is to the order dated 09.08.2021 passed by the learned Single Judge vide which CRWP-7448-2021 preferred by the petitioners (appellants herein) with a prayer for directions to the Superintendent of Police, Sirsa and SHO, Police Station HUDA, Sector-20, District Sirsa to protect the life and personal liberty at the hands of private respondents No. 4 to 8, has been dismissed.

We have gone through the order passed by the learned Single Judge and found that the said Court has not taken into consideration the basic aspect that the appellants have duly approached the Court apprehending threat to their life and liberty at the hands of private respondents. The reason with regard to the apprehension was also mentioned in the petition, which, in the considered view of this Court, is quite justified keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case.

Highlighting this aspect, a representation dated 06.08.2021 (Annexure P-5) has been submitted by the appellants to the Superintendent of Police, District Sirsa-respondent No. 2 and they have prayed that the said representation may be considered so that if any apprehension, as pointed out by them, is found to be correct, their life and liberty may be protected.

Keeping in view the prayer of the appellants, we dispose of the present appeal by directing the Superintendent of Police, District Sirsarespondent No. 2 to look into the representation dated 06.08.2021 (Annexure P-5) submitted by the appellants and take appropriate steps in accordance with law in case some substance is found in the said representation and ensure that the life and liberty of the appellants is not jeopardized at the hands of private respondents except in accordance with law.
