Rajasthan Civil Services (Medical Attendance) (Amendment) Rules, 2008

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor hereby makes the following rules to amend further the existing Rajasthan Civil Services (Medical Attendance) Rules, 1970, namely: -

Rule - 1. [xxx] :-

(i)       These rules may be called the Rajasthan Civil Services (Medical Attendance) (Amendment) Rules, 2008.

(ii)      They shall come into force with effect from 01.09.2008.

Rule - 2. [xxx] :-

(i)       For the existing clause (xiii) of sub-rule (3) of Rule 2, shall be substituted by the ?following, namely: -

"(xiii) "Pay" for the purpose of these rules, means total of pay in running pay band and grade pay drawn."

(ii)      For the existing sub-clause (i) of clause (a) of sub-rule (1)of Rule 4, shall be substituted by the following, namely –

"(i) Accommodation in the Government Hospital as classified below, shall be provided free of charge, subject to availability: -

(iii)     In clause (c) of sub-rule (1) of Rule 4, the existing words and figures "Rs. 3,600/- per month" shall be substituted by the words and figures "Rs. 9,000/- per month".

(iv)    The existing sub- rule (4) of Rule 8 shall be substituted by the following, namely:

"(4) A Government servant shall present a consolidated claim for reimbursement of medical expenses not earlier than once in a month in respect of all the members of his family including himself/herself after the treatment is over. In cases where treatment continues over a long period, a part claim for reimbursement of medical expenses may be presented by the Government servants as follows:

(v)          In clause (v) of sub-rule (2) of Rule 10, the existing words and figures "Rs.6700/- per ?month" shall be substituted by the words and figures "Rs.16500/- per month".

(vi)        In clause (a) of sub-rule (4) of Rule 10, the existing words and figures "Rs.6700/- per month" shall be substituted by the words and figures "Rs.16500/- per month".
