October 2023] In exercise of the powers
conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951
(61 of 1951), the Central Government, after consultation with the Government of
States concerned, hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Indian
Forest Service (Cadre) Rules, 1966, namely:- (1)
These rules may be called the Indian Forest
Service (Cadre) Amendment Rules, 2023. (2)
They shall come into force on the date of
their publication in the Official Gazette. In the Indian Forest Service
(Cadre) Rules, 1966, in rule 4, in sub-rule (2), after the second proviso, the
following proviso shall be inserted, namely:- "Provided also that the
redetermined strength and composition of each such cadre shall be applicable only
prospectively from the date of notification in the Official Gazette."Indian
Forest Service (Cadre) Amendment Rules, 2023
